Description
A quick and healthy air fryer recipe featuring tender chicken breasts and crisp broccoli florets seasoned with garlic, paprika, and olive oil. This meal is perfect for a nutritious two-serving dinner ready in just 35 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
Chicken
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb or 450 g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Broccoli
- 2 cups broccoli florets (about 200 g)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. If preferred, cut them into bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking and easier eating.
- Prepare the broccoli: Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and dry thoroughly with paper towels. Toss them with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt, and black pepper to season.
- Season the chicken: In a separate bowl, combine the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to evenly coat all pieces with the seasoning.
- Preheat the air fryer: Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and let it heat for about 5 minutes before cooking.
- Cook the chicken: Place the seasoned chicken pieces in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes. Shake or toss the basket halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and cooking.
- Add broccoli and continue cooking: Add the seasoned broccoli florets to the air fryer basket with the chicken. Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Serve: Remove the chicken and broccoli from the air fryer and serve warm. This dish pairs well with rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
Notes
- Cutting the chicken into smaller pieces helps it cook faster and more evenly.
- Make sure to dry the broccoli well after washing to ensure it crisps nicely in the air fryer.
- If you prefer softer broccoli, cook it for a few minutes longer or steam it beforehand.
- Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken reaches a safe internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Feel free to adjust seasoning quantities to suit your taste preferences.
