  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups snow peas, trimmed
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced mushrooms (shiitake or cremini preferred)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and oil. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Mix oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, sesame oil, and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
  3. Cook the Beef: Sear marinated beef in a hot skillet, then set aside.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger, then add mushrooms and snow peas.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Return beef to the skillet, pour in sauce, and cook until thickened.
  6. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
