For the Sandwiches:
- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef (deli-style or leftover cooked beef)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup caramelized onions (optional)
- Pickles for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F: Mix softened butter, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Spread on hoagie rolls. Toast in the oven for 5–6 mins.
- Warm roast beef: Heat in skillet or microwave until warm.
- Heat cheddar cheese sauce: Warm in a saucepan until smooth and warm.
- Assemble sandwiches: Pile roast beef onto rolls, spoon cheddar cheese sauce generously, and top with caramelized onions if desired.
- Serve: Hot with pickles on the side.
