Description

This refreshing broccoli salad is a perfect blend of crunchy broccoli, sweet cranberries, savory bacon, and creamy dressing. It’s a versatile and delicious side dish that’s great for picnics, barbecues, or everyday meals.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Salad:

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Dressing:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Salad: In a large bowl, combine broccoli, red onion, cranberries, sunflower seeds, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
  2. Make Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine: Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt in place of some or all of the mayonnaise.
  • You can also swap raisins for cranberries or omit bacon for a vegetarian option.
