Description

Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, spicy, and cheesy appetizer perfect for game day or casual gatherings. Made with shredded chicken, classic Buffalo sauce, and a blend of cheeses, this dip combines tangy ranch dressing and melted cheddar and mozzarella for an irresistible flavor. Serve warm with chips, crackers, or toasted bread for a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken (shredded rotisserie chicken or canned chicken recommended)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce (adjust based on heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup Ranch Dressing (can substitute with blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (divided into two portions)
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (can replace with more cheddar if desired)

For Serving

  • 1 bag Chips/Crackers/Bread (variety recommended for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Combine ingredients. In a mixing bowl, add the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, Buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly until well blended and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Transfer to baking dish. Evenly spread the prepared mixture into the greased baking dish, ensuring it forms a uniform layer for even cooking.
  4. Add remaining cheese. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese and the full cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Bake until bubbly. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until the cheese on top is fully melted, bubbly, and slightly golden brown around the edges.
  6. Serve hot. Remove from oven and serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted bread for dipping and enjoying.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and extra flavor, or canned chicken for a pantry-friendly version.
  • Adjust the amount of Buffalo sauce to control the heat level according to your preference.
  • For a tangier flavor, substitute ranch dressing with blue cheese dressing.
  • Try a mix of different cheeses or add some freshly chopped green onions for added texture and taste.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven or microwave before serving.
