- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
- Cook Onions: Add diced onion and cook for 5–6 minutes until softened and lightly golden.
- Toast Rice: Stir in rice and cook for 1–2 minutes to lightly toast the grains.
- Add Broth and Seasonings: Add chicken broth, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, stirring to combine.
- Simmer: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15–18 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
- Rest and Garnish: Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley before serving.
