Description

Deliciously Cool Coffee Jelly offers a refreshing and unique way to enjoy your coffee. This sweet dessert blends robust instant coffee with creamy condensed milk and smooth table cream, set into a jiggly gelatin dessert that’s perfect for a chilled treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup cold water (for blooming gelatin)
  • 3 cups water (for coffee)
  • 1 cup instant coffee
  • 1 cup sugar

Cream Topping

  • 1 cup condensed milk
  • 1 cup table cream (or heavy cream)

Optional Garnish

  • Whipped cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Bloom Gelatin: Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1 cup of cold water in a large bowl. Let it sit for about 1 minute until the gelatin absorbs the water and blooms.
  2. Prepare Coffee Base: In a sauce pot, bring 3 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add the instant coffee and sugar, stirring until completely dissolved.
  3. Combine Gelatin and Coffee: Gradually pour the hot coffee mixture into the bloomed gelatin while stirring constantly for 2 to 3 minutes to fully dissolve the gelatin.
  4. Set the Jelly: Transfer the coffee-gelatin mixture into a baking dish. Allow it to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
  5. Mix Cream Topping: In a separate bowl, combine the condensed milk and table cream until smooth and well blended.
  6. Cut and Serve: Once the jelly is set, cut it into 1-inch cubes. Top each cube with the sweetened cream mixture.
  7. Garnish and Chill: Optionally, garnish with whipped cream. Serve chilled for the best refreshing experience.

Notes

  • Use heavy cream if table cream is unavailable for richer flavor.
  • Ensure gelatin is fully dissolved to avoid grainy texture.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, increase instant coffee amount slightly.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated until serving.
  • Adjust sugar quantities to taste based on preference.
