Ingredients
Scale
Eggs and Filling
- 6 large Hard-Cooked Eggs (peeled and cooled)
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt as a substitute)
- 1 tablespoon Capers (or finely chopped pickles)
- 2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Dill
- 2 tablespoons Chives
- 1 tablespoon Grainy Mustard (or yellow mustard)
Bacon and Vegetables
- 6 slices Double-Smoked Bacon (or turkey bacon)
- 1 head Iceberg or Leaf Lettuce (or arugula)
- 10 whole Cocktail Tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes)
Garnish
- 1 tablespoon Everything Bagel Seasoning
- 10 pieces Cocktail Picks (or toothpicks)
Instructions
- Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a pot of cold water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, cover the pot and let the eggs sit off heat for 9 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then peel and set aside.
- Crisp the Bacon: Warm a skillet over medium heat and cook the double-smoked bacon slices until they are browned and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Prepare the Yolk Mixture: Slice the cooled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the yolks into a bowl. Add mayonnaise, capers, chopped fresh dill, chives, and grainy mustard to the yolks, then mash the mixture until smooth and creamy.
- Assemble the Sliders: Gently stuff each egg white half with the creamy yolk mixture. Top each stuffed egg with a crispy bacon slice, a fresh lettuce leaf, and a slice of cocktail tomato.
- Secure and Garnish: Use a cocktail pick to secure the layers of each slider. Optionally, sprinkle fresh dill and everything bagel seasoning over the sliders before serving for extra flavor and texture.
Notes
- For a lighter option, substitute double-smoked bacon with turkey bacon.
- If you don’t have capers, finely chopped pickles make a great alternative.
- Greek yogurt can be used instead of mayonnaise for a healthier filling.
- Use arugula instead of lettuce for a peppery twist.
- Toothpicks can replace cocktail picks if unavailable.
- All herb amounts can be adjusted based on your taste preferences.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature for best flavor.
