This Easy One-Pan Dumplings recipe features tender dumplings filled with a flavorful mixture of ground chicken or pork, cabbage, and aromatic seasonings. - 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 2 green onions, finely sliced

- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 package round dumpling wrappers (about 30 pieces)

Instructions
- Make the filling: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken or pork, shredded cabbage, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly blended.
- Assemble the dumplings: Place one dumpling wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the filling into the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, then fold it in half and pinch the edges firmly to seal. Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Heat the skillet: Warm the vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Pan-fry the dumplings: Arrange the dumplings in a single layer in the skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottoms turn lightly golden brown.
- Steam the dumplings: Carefully pour 1/2 cup water into the skillet, immediately cover it with a lid to trap steam. Let cook for 6 to 8 minutes until the filling is fully cooked and wrappers become tender.
- Crisp the bottoms (optional): Remove the lid and cook the dumplings for another 1 to 2 minutes to re-crisp the bottoms if desired.
- Serve: Remove dumplings from the skillet and serve warm with the optional dipping sauce made from soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil.

- If using ground pork, add finely chopped mushrooms to enhance moisture and flavor.
- Thaw frozen dumpling wrappers before use for easier handling.
- A nonstick skillet with a lid is ideal for the pan-steam cooking method.
