- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare and Bake Cake: Follow the vanilla cake mix package instructions to prepare the batter, then bake it in a 9×13-inch pan. Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely to room temperature.
- Crumble and Mix: Break the cooled cake into small crumbs in a large mixing bowl. Add the frosting and rainbow sprinkles, then mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
- Form Cake Balls: Take portions of the cake mixture and roll them into 1-inch balls. Arrange these balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy handling and cleanup.
- Prepare Sticks: Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl by heating in short bursts and stirring until smooth. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted white chocolate, then insert it halfway into each cake ball. This helps secure the stick to the pop.
- Dip the Cake Pops: Use the remaining melted white chocolate to dip each cake pop, covering it completely. Let any excess chocolate drip off to create a smooth finish.
- Set the Cake Pops: Place the dipped cake pops back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and allow the chocolate coating to harden at room temperature, or refrigerate briefly to speed up the setting process.
