Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 packs Instant Ramen Noodles (discard the flavor packets for customized taste)
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (can use margarine for dairy-free)
- 3 cloves Garlic (minced; can substitute with ¾ teaspoon garlic powder)
- 2 cups Chicken Stock (use vegetable stock for vegetarian or water for a lighter option)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (adjust according to the sodium level of the stock; omit if using low-sodium)
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper (freshly ground preferred)
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (chopped, optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the garlic butter base: Melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 2 minutes until the garlic turns light golden and fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the stock and seasoning: Pour in 2 cups of chicken stock along with 1 teaspoon of salt and ½ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil in the skillet to combine the flavors.
- Cook the ramen noodles: Add the instant ramen noodles (without the flavor packets) to the skillet. Stir occasionally and cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the noodles are tender and most of the liquid has evaporated, resulting in a slightly saucy consistency.
- Finish with butter and parsley: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to add richness. If using, mix in freshly chopped parsley for a burst of freshness. Serve the garlic butter ramen noodles hot.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken stock with vegetable stock or water.
- You can replace unsalted butter with margarine for a dairy-free alternative.
- Adjust salt according to the sodium content of your chosen stock.
- Freshly ground black pepper intensifies flavor but can be adjusted to taste.
- Optional parsley garnish adds color and freshness but can be omitted.
