Description

These Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps combine the smoky flavor of perfectly cooked beef patties with melty cheddar cheese and fresh toppings all wrapped in a warm, crispy tortilla. Quick to prepare and full of classic cheeseburger taste with a convenient handheld twist, they make an ideal meal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Burger Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are incorporated, then form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  2. Cook the Patties: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are fully cooked through and have a nice sear on the outside.
  3. Add Cheese to Patties: Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Allow the cheese to melt while the patties are still warm, either by covering the skillet or leaving them on the grill briefly.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Lay a tortilla flat and place a cheeseburger patty in the center. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, sliced pickles, ketchup, and mustard according to taste.
  5. Roll the Wraps: Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from one end to the other to encase the fillings securely.
  6. Grill the Wraps: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Place each wrap seam-side down in the skillet and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until the tortilla is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet, cut each in half diagonally, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use ground beef with around 20% fat content for juicier patties.
  • Feel free to substitute cheddar with your favorite cheese such as American or pepper jack.
  • Ensure the wraps are tightly rolled before grilling to prevent fillings from spilling out.
  • Butter helps crisp the tortilla; alternatively, use a light spray of oil if preferred.
  • Serve immediately after grilling for best texture and flavor.
