Description

This Hot Honey Roasted Cauliflower recipe combines the earthy flavors of cauliflower with a sweet and spicy kick from a hot honey glaze. It’s a delicious and easy-to-make side dish or appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the hot honey glaze:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (such as sriracha or your favorite brand)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss cauliflower: In a large bowl, toss cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Roast cauliflower: Spread the cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
  4. Prepare hot honey glaze: While the cauliflower roasts, mix together honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  5. Glaze and serve: Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and drizzle with the hot honey glaze while still warm. Toss gently to coat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use agave or maple syrup in place of honey.
  • This dish pairs well as a spicy appetizer or a flavorful side.
