Enjoy a tantalizing combination of sweet and spicy flavors with this Jalapeño Peach Chicken recipe. Juicy chicken breasts are seared to perfection, then smothered in a luscious peach and jalapeño glaze that will have your taste buds dancing. This dish is a delightful addition to your summer menu and is quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Peach Jalapeño Glaze:

  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup peach preserves or jam
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Glaze: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic, jalapeño, and peaches. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in peach preserves, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and smoked paprika. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Finish Cooking: Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over each piece. Cover and simmer for 10–12 minutes until chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thick and glossy.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh thyme and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra heat, keep the jalapeño seeds or add a dash of hot sauce.
  • This dish pairs beautifully with rice, couscous, or grilled corn.
  • Bone-in chicken thighs can be used—adjust cooking time as needed.
