Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Filling
- 1 container (15 ounces) Ricotta Cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 ½ teaspoons dried Parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
Meat Sauce
- 1/2 pound lean Ground Beef
- 1 jar (24 ounces) Spaghetti Sauce
Other
- 9 Lasagna Noodles
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, beaten egg, dried parsley, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well until thoroughly blended. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate while preparing other components.
- Cook the Lasagna Noodles: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the lasagna noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the noodles carefully and lay them out on a large cookie sheet covered with wax paper, ensuring the noodles do not touch to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease. Add the jar of spaghetti sauce to the skillet and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes until the sauce is heated through and the flavors meld. Pour one-third of this meat sauce evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
- Assemble Roll Ups: Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator. Spread approximately 1/4 cup of the cheese filling evenly over each lasagna noodle. Roll each noodle tightly and place seam side down in the prepared baking dish atop the meat sauce. Repeat for all nine noodles to form individual roll ups.
- Add Remaining Sauce and Cheese: Pour the remaining meat sauce evenly over the lasagna roll ups. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top to cover the roll ups evenly.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese on top is melted and golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For easier rolling, make sure noodles are completely drained and laid flat before adding filling.

- If using no-boil noodles, adjust cooking time and preparation accordingly.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven covered with foil to prevent drying.
