Description

Magic Cookie Bars are a delightful layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust topped with sweetened condensed milk, semisweet chocolate chips, flaky coconut, and crunchy nuts. Baked to golden perfection, these bars are easy to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter

Toppings

  • 1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 â…“ cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Graham Cracker Crust: Mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture evenly onto the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a firm crust layer.
  2. Add Toppings: Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust. Then, sprinkle the semisweet chocolate chips, flaked coconut, and chopped nuts evenly over the top of the condensed milk layer.
  3. Press Down Toppings: Use a fork to gently press the toppings down firmly so they adhere well to the custard base.
  4. Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled bars for about 25 minutes until the edges are lightly browned and the toppings are set.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish. Once cooled, cut into 36 bars or diamond shapes. Serve and enjoy your delicious Magic Cookie Bars!

Notes

  • You can substitute walnuts or pecans for the chopped nuts depending on your preference.
  • Make sure to press the toppings firmly to prevent them from falling apart after baking.
  • These bars keep well stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerated for up to a week.
  • For a festive touch, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top once cooled.
