Description

These Pull-Apart Cheeseburger Sliders are a fun and flavorful twist on classic cheeseburgers, perfect for parties or family dinners. Made with juicy ground beef seasoned with Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder, topped with melted cheddar cheese, and baked inside soft slider buns, they are easy to make and irresistibly delicious. Served with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles, these sliders bring all the classic burger flavors in a convenient pull-apart form.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Buns

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian or soft dinner rolls work best)

Beef Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Cheese and Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or American cheese slices)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley (optional)

Garnishes

  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Pickles
  • Additional ketchup or mustard

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup (if using), garlic powder, mustard (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the beef mixture until browned and fully cooked through, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Slider Buns: Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom slices together in one piece. Lay the buns flat on a baking sheet or in a baking dish to form the base for layering.
  4. Assemble the Sliders: Evenly spread the cooked beef mixture over the bottom half of the buns. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the beef layer. Place the top half of the buns over the cheese to form a sandwich.
  5. Prepare the Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix melted butter with sesame seeds (if using), onion powder, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this mixture evenly over the top of the slider buns.
  6. Bake the Sliders: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled sliders in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden and slightly toasted.
  7. Add Fresh Garnishes: Remove the sliders from the oven and carefully separate them for serving. Garnish each slider with fresh lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, and pickles. Serve with additional ketchup or mustard on the side if desired.

Notes

  • Using Hawaiian slider buns adds a slight sweetness that complements the beef nicely.
  • Optional ingredients like mustard and ketchup in the beef add extra flavor but can be omitted for a simpler taste.
  • For even cheesier sliders, add an extra layer of cheese between the beef and top bun.
  • Make sure not to overfill the buns to keep them easy to pull apart.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
