Description

Refreshing Rainbow Sangria combining fresh strawberries, oranges, kiwis, and blueberries with a blend of red wine, citrus juices, and a splash of lemon-lime soda. Perfectly chilled and garnished with fresh mint leaves, this vibrant sangria is ideal for summer gatherings and casual entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup oranges, sliced
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries

Beverages

  • 1 bottle red wine (750ml)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda

Garnish and Extras

  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish
  • Simple syrup, optional, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Fruits: Wash all the fresh fruits thoroughly. Slice the strawberries and oranges into thin rounds and peel and slice the kiwis to ensure easy mixing and optimal flavor release.
  2. Mix Base Liquids: In a large pitcher, combine the red wine, freshly squeezed orange juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently to blend the flavors without bruising the fruits.
  3. Add Fruits and Chill: Add the sliced strawberries, oranges, kiwis, and blueberries to the pitcher. Stir gently to distribute the fruits evenly. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld.
  4. Finish and Serve: Just before serving, pour the lemon-lime soda into the pitcher and stir gently to add a refreshing fizz. Serve the sangria over ice in glasses and garnish each with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic touch. Optionally, add simple syrup to taste if a sweeter sangria is desired.

Notes

  • For best flavor, allow the sangria to chill and infuse overnight.
  • Adjust sweetness with simple syrup according to your taste preferences.
  • Use a dry or semi-dry red wine based on your sweetness preference.
  • This recipe serves 6 and can be doubled for larger gatherings.
  • Serve over ice to keep the sangria cool and refreshing.
