Description

This Red, White, and Blueberry Flag Pizza is a delightful and visually stunning dessert perfect for patriotic celebrations. Featuring a sugar cookie crust, creamy sweetened cream cheese, and a vibrant topping of fresh raspberries and blueberries arranged like an American flag, this no-bake topping pizza is easy to prepare, colorful, and a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Crust

  • 1 tube Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough (16.5 oz)

Filling

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping, thawed

Toppings

  • 12 oz Fresh Raspberries (3 to 4 cups)
  • 1 dry pint Fresh Blueberries (about 2 cups)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cookie Dough: Open the tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough and slice it into approximately 1/4 inch thick pieces to form your base for baking.
  2. Bake the Cookie Crust: Arrange the sliced cookie dough pieces on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 11-12 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned and cooked through. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  3. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in half of the whipped topping, then carefully fold in the remaining whipped topping to keep the mixture light and fluffy.
  4. Assemble the Flag Pizza: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled cookie crust. Arrange fresh raspberries and blueberries on top in the pattern of the United States flag—blueberries grouped in the top left corner to represent the stars section and raspberries arranged in stripes across the surface.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure the cookie crust is fully cooled before spreading the cream cheese mixture.
  • You can substitute fresh berries with frozen ones if fresh are unavailable, but thaw and drain them well to avoid excess moisture.
  • This dessert is best served chilled; refrigerate it for at least 1 hour before serving to let flavors meld.
  • Use a spatula to gently fold in whipped topping to maintain airiness in the cream cheese filling.
  • To create the flag design, use a small square or rectangular baking dish for easier shape and assembly.
