Ingredients
Scale
Filling
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)
Wraps
- 8–10 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning mix until smooth and well combined to create the flavorful base of the filling.
- Add Toppings: Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, green onions, chopped cilantro, and black olives if using, ensuring the mixture is evenly mixed for consistent flavor in each bite.
- Assemble the Roll-Ups: Spread a generous, even layer of the filling over each flour tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to facilitate rolling without spilling filling.
- Roll Up: Starting from one edge, tightly roll each tortilla into a log shape. Repeat the process with all tortillas and the remaining filling to form multiple roll-ups.
- Chill and Slice: Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down on a plate or baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour to allow them to set and slice cleanly.
- Serve: Remove from refrigerator, unwrap, and slice each roll-up into 1-inch thick rounds with a sharp knife. Arrange on a serving platter and serve chilled for a refreshing appetizer.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the filling mixture.
- Black olives are optional; omit if you prefer a milder flavor.
- Use whole wheat tortillas for a slightly healthier twist.
- These roll-ups can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored covered in the refrigerator.
- Serve with extra salsa or guacamole for dipping if desired.
