Description

Savor juicy, perfectly cooked burgers made effortlessly in the air fryer. This quick and easy recipe uses simple seasonings to enhance ground beef patties, offering a delicious homemade burger experience in just 17 minutes. Customize with your favorite toppings and enjoy a classic meal without the grill or stovetop mess.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burgers

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Additional Ingredients

  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for cooking the burger patties evenly.
  2. Prepare the Meat: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to evenly distribute the seasoning without overworking the meat.
  3. Form Patties: Shape the seasoned beef into 4 equal-sized patties. Make them slightly larger than the burger buns, as they will shrink during cooking.
  4. Arrange Patties: Place the patties in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap for even air circulation.
  5. Cook Patties: Air fry the patties for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Continue until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) indicating they’re fully cooked and safe to eat.
  6. Add Cheese (Optional): If you desire cheeseburgers, place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last 2 minutes of cooking to allow the cheese to melt perfectly.
  7. Toast Buns: Remove the cooked patties and then toast the burger buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes until they turn golden brown and slightly crisp.
  8. Assemble Burgers: Place each cooked patty on a toasted bun, then add your preferred toppings such as lettuce, tomato, pickles, or condiments.
  9. Serve: Serve the air-fried burgers immediately while hot and juicy. Enjoy your quick, flavorful meal!

Notes

  • Use an 80/20 ground beef blend for juicier, flavorful burgers.
  • Don’t overmix the meat to keep the patties tender.
  • Check doneness with a meat thermometer to ensure safe cooking temperature.
  • Feel free to customize toppings according to your preferences.
  • For a crispier crust, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
