Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Mixture
- 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 4 tbsp Crumbled Blue Cheese
- ½ tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
- ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
Chicken Mix
- 2 cups Cooked Chicken Breasts, shredded
- ½ cup Franks Hot Sauce
- ½ cup Homemade Ranch Dressing or your favorite store-bought brand
- 2 tsp Minced Garlic
Assembly
- 8 Slices Sandwich Bread
- 4–8 Slices Muenster Cheese
- 4 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled blue cheese, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and set aside to allow the flavors to meld.
- Make Chicken Mix: In another bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Franks hot sauce, ranch dressing, and minced garlic until the chicken is evenly coated with the spicy, creamy sauce.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Butter one side of each bread slice. Spread the prepared cheese mixture evenly on the unbuttered side of four bread slices. Top the cheese layer with the buffalo chicken mixture, then add slices of Muenster cheese over the chicken. Finally, close each sandwich with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
- Grill Sandwiches: Heat a skillet over low heat. Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet and cook slowly until the bread is golden brown, crispy, and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side. Press gently with a spatula to help with even grilling and melting.
- Serve: Remove the grilled sandwiches from the skillet and serve hot. Accompany with extra buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, or blue cheese dressing for dipping to enhance the flavor.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, omit the cayenne pepper.
- Use homemade ranch dressing for a fresher taste or a quality store-bought version for convenience.
- Adjust the amount of Muenster cheese slices based on your desired cheesiness.
- This sandwich is best served immediately to enjoy the gooey cheese and crispy bread.
- If you prefer, you can prepare chicken fresh, but cooked shredded chicken saves preparation time.
