Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Cheese
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices of cheese
Buns
- 4 hamburger buns
Vegetables and Potatoes
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, onions, zucchini)
- 2 medium potatoes, diced
Seasoning and Oil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the grill: Set your grill to medium heat to prepare for cooking the foil packets evenly without burning the outside.
- Season the beef: In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and pepper, mixing thoroughly to distribute the seasoning throughout the meat.
- Form patties: Shape the seasoned ground beef into four equal-sized patties for uniform cooking.
- Prepare veggies and potatoes: In a separate bowl, toss the diced potatoes and mixed vegetables with olive oil, salt, and pepper to season them and enhance their flavor.
- Assemble on foil: Place each beef patty onto a separate large sheet of foil. Top each patty with a portion of the mixed vegetables and diced potatoes.
- Wrap the foil packets: Fold the foil tightly around each patty and its vegetables to create sealed packets that will steam and grill the contents.
- Grill the packets: Place the foil packets on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning them halfway through to ensure even cooking on all sides.
- Add cheese: In the last 5 minutes of grilling, carefully open each packet and place a slice of cheese on top of the patties to melt.
- Serve: Remove the packets from the grill, unwrap, and transfer the cheeseburgers to hamburger buns. Serve immediately for a satisfying meal.
Notes
- You can substitute the mixed vegetables with your favorites or seasonal produce.
- Make sure to wrap the foil tightly to prevent any juices from leaking and to cook evenly.
- For a smoky flavor, add a small piece of smoked cheese instead of regular cheese.
- Use medium heat on the grill to avoid overcooking or burning the foil packets.
- Serve with extra toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickles for added freshness.
