Description
These Christmas Sugar Cookie Truffles are a delightful holiday treat combining crushed sugar cookies with cream cheese, dipped in white chocolate and decorated with festive sprinkles. Easy to prepare and no-bake, these truffles make a perfect sweet bite for holiday parties or gifting.
Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Base
- 12 sugar cookies (about 2 1/2 inches in diameter)
- 4 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)
- 1 teaspoon milk (optional, if mixture is too dry)
Coating and Decoration
- 2 cups white chocolate melting wafers
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Crush the Cookies: Place the sugar cookies in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. If a food processor is not available, crush the cookies inside a ziplock bag using a rolling pin until finely crushed.
- Mix with Cream Cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs and pulse again until a dough forms. If the mixture feels too dry and crumbly, add a teaspoon of milk to help bring it together.
- Form the Truffles: Using a cookie scoop or your hands, shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Arrange the formed balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Dip in Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate melting wafers according to package instructions. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork to fully coat it, then place them back onto the baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, add sprinkles on top to decorate.
- Serve or Store: Let the truffles set completely at room temperature or in the fridge. Store the finished truffles in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for longer storage. Enjoy your festive Christmas treat!
Notes
- If you don’t have a food processor, use a ziplock bag and rolling pin to crush the cookies.
- Add milk sparingly to the mixture just if it feels too dry for easier shaping.
- Ensure truffles are well chilled before dipping to avoid melting the coating.
- Decorate with any festive sprinkles of your choice to customize the look.
- Store truffles covered tightly to maintain freshness and prevent drying out.
