Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Spread
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetables
- 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped cucumber, seeded
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup fresh spinach leaves, finely chopped
Other
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Mix the cheese spread: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Prepare the tortillas: Lay each flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread an even layer of the cheese mixture over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent spillage.
- Add vegetables: Evenly sprinkle the finely chopped red bell pepper, cucumber, shredded carrots, green onions, and chopped spinach leaves over the cream cheese layer on each tortilla.
- Roll up the tortillas: Starting at one edge, tightly roll each tortilla into a log to encase the filling securely.
- Chill: Wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the roll-ups firm up and flavors meld.
- Slice and serve: Remove the plastic wrap and slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheel pieces. Serve chilled as a fresh, colorful appetizer or snack.
Notes
- For enhanced flavor, try using flavored tortillas such as spinach or sun-dried tomato varieties.
- Finely chopping the vegetables helps the roll-ups hold together better and ensures a pleasant texture.
- These roll-ups can be prepared a day ahead and stored tightly wrapped in the refrigerator for convenience.
