Description

These Grilled Cheeseburger Wraps offer a quick and delicious twist on the classic cheeseburger. Ground beef seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and minced onion is cooked and combined with melted cheddar cheese, fresh tomato slices, and optional mustard, all wrapped in a warm tortilla and grilled to golden perfection. Perfect for a satisfying meal ready in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Wraps

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (about 1 cup)
  • Mustard, for drizzling
  • Tomato slices (4 to 8 slices)
  • Lettuce leaves, for garnish
  • Sliced red onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook and Season Ground Beef: Brown and crumble the ground beef in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once fully cooked, drain any excess grease. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir to evenly combine all ingredients. Reduce heat to low and let the mixture heat thoroughly for about 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  2. Assemble Wraps: Lay each large flour tortilla flat. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly down the center of each tortilla. Divide the warm beef mixture equally among the tortillas, placing it over the cheese. Drizzle a little mustard and extra ketchup if desired on top of the beef. Add a couple of tomato slices onto each wrap. Carefully roll each tortilla burrito-style, securing the filling inside.
  3. Grill Wraps: Preheat an indoor or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Place two wraps at a time onto the grill. Grill each side for 3 to 5 minutes, or until distinct grill marks appear and the tortillas turn golden brown and slightly crispy.
  4. Add Fresh Garnishes and Serve: Remove the grilled wraps from the grill carefully. Gently unravel each wrap to add fresh lettuce leaves and sliced red onions inside. Re-roll the wraps securely, then cut each one diagonally through the center. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your delicious cheeseburger wraps!

Notes

  • You can add other toppings such as pickles or jalapeños for extra flavor and heat.
  • Use low-fat cheese or leaner ground beef to reduce calories and fat content.
  • For a crispier wrap, you can also toast the tortillas in a skillet before assembling.
  • These wraps are best served immediately but can be reheated on the grill or in a skillet if needed.
