Description

These Rosemary Garlic Steak Kebabs are a delicious and easy-to-make grilled dish featuring tender sirloin marinated in a flavorful balsamic garlic marinade, combined with fresh grape tomatoes and rosemary-infused potatoes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a casual barbecue gathering, these kebabs deliver a perfect balance of savory and fresh flavors with minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Marinade

  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 14 ounces sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes

Vegetables & Marinade

  • 2 cups whole grape tomatoes
  • â…“ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, stems removed and chopped
  • 1 ½ pounds baby potatoes
  • 6 metal or wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill and soak skewers: Preheat your grill to medium heat to ensure an even cooking temperature. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20-30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.
  2. Prepare the steak marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, whole grain mustard, and minced garlic. Season the mixture with salt and pepper according to your taste. Add the cubed sirloin steak to the marinade and toss well to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. Prepare the tomato marinade: In a separate bowl, combine the whole grape tomatoes with olive oil and the chopped fresh rosemary. Toss gently to coat the tomatoes evenly with the rosemary and oil.
  4. Cook the baby potatoes: Place the baby potatoes in a pot of boiling water and cook them until they are barely fork-tender, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the potatoes and set them aside to cool slightly before assembling the kebabs.
  5. Assemble the kebabs: Thread the soaked skewers by alternating baby potatoes, marinated steak cubes, and marinated grape tomatoes. Make sure the pieces are secure and spaced evenly for uniform cooking.
  6. Grill the kebabs: Place the assembled skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side, turning carefully to ensure all sides are browned and the steak is cooked to your preferred doneness.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving. These kebabs pair well with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Soaking wooden skewers is essential to prevent burning on the grill.
  • Marinate the steak for at least 20 minutes; longer marinating time will enhance the flavor.
  • Be careful not to overcook the baby potatoes; they should be tender but still hold their shape on the skewer.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper based on personal preference before grilling.
  • Use metal skewers for an easier grilling experience if available.
