Ingredients
Scale
Sausage Mixture
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
Egg Mixture
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
Assembly
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 rolls)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F to prepare for baking the roll-ups.
- Cook Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles until it is browned and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Mix Eggs: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
- Scramble Eggs: Using the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, then pour in the egg mixture. Stir gently and cook until the eggs are just set but still moist. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into 8 individual triangles.
- Assemble Roll-Ups: Evenly distribute the cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and shredded cheddar cheese onto each crescent triangle. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end and rolling towards the narrow end, fully enclosing the filling.
- Bake: Place the roll-ups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the roll-ups are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the roll-ups cool slightly before serving warm.
Notes
- You can substitute turkey sausage or plant-based sausage for a lighter option.
- Add diced vegetables such as bell peppers or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
- Serve with salsa or hot sauce to enhance the taste.
