Instructions
- Cook the Pasta and Broccoli: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the whole wheat pasta according to the package instructions. Add the broccoli florets to the pot during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking. Drain the pasta and broccoli together, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, and set aside.

- Toss Pasta Mixture: Add the cooked pasta and broccoli into the skillet with the toasted almonds and garlic. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water. Toss everything together thoroughly until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
