Description

This Warm Pizza Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that combines creamy cheese, pizza sauce, and classic toppings like pepperoni, bell peppers, and olives. Perfect for parties or game day, this dip is baked to bubbling perfection and served warm with baguette slices or tortilla chips.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese Base

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil

Cheese Topping

  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Other Ingredients

  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 3 tablespoons green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons black olives, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese Base: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil. Stir until well mixed and smooth.
  3. Layer Cream Cheese: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly across the bottom of the prepared pie plate, creating a smooth base layer for the dip.
  4. Add Cheese and Sauce: Sprinkle half of the shredded Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the cream cheese layer. Then evenly spread the pizza sauce on top of the cheese.
  5. Top with Remaining Ingredients: Sprinkle the remaining Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the pizza sauce. Distribute the diced green bell pepper, pepperoni slices, and sliced black olives evenly on top.
  6. Bake the Dip: Place the pie plate in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the dip is warmed through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve the dip warm with baguette slices, tortilla chips, or your choice of dippables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is softened to make mixing easier and achieve a smooth base.
  • You can customize the toppings to your preference, such as adding mushrooms or onions.
  • Serve immediately for best taste and texture; the dip can be reheated gently if needed.
  • Use low-moisture mozzarella for less watery dip.
  • To make it spicier, add red pepper flakes to the cream cheese layer or top with jalapeños.
