Scale
Slushie Ingredients
- 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 to 6 lemons)
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or granulated sugar, adjust to taste
- 1 to 2 cups ice cubes
- ½ cup cold water (optional, to help blending)
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Cube the seedless watermelon and freeze it until solid for the best texture and flavor.
- Combine in Blender: Place the frozen watermelon cubes into a high-speed blender. Add fresh lemon juice, honey or sugar, ice cubes, and cold water if needed to help blending.
- Blend to Slushy Texture: Blend the mixture until smooth and slushy in texture. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well combined.
- Adjust Flavor: Taste the slush and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or sugar, or increase tartness with additional lemon juice if desired.
- Serve: Pour the slushies into glasses immediately to enjoy the best texture and chill. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if using for an aromatic touch.
Notes
- Freeze watermelon at peak ripeness for a stronger, sweeter watermelon flavor.
- Add more cold water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
- For a more dessert-like slush, reduce the ice and use only fully frozen watermelon cubes.
