Description

Watermelon Lemonade Slushies are a refreshing and fruity summer beverage made by blending frozen watermelon cubes with fresh lemon juice, honey or sugar, and ice. This easy-to-make slush delivers a perfect balance of sweet and tart flavors, cooling you down on hot days. Garnished with fresh mint, it’s an ideal healthy and hydrating treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Slushie Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 to 6 lemons)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or granulated sugar, adjust to taste
  • 1 to 2 cups ice cubes
  • ½ cup cold water (optional, to help blending)
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Cube the seedless watermelon and freeze it until solid for the best texture and flavor.
  2. Combine in Blender: Place the frozen watermelon cubes into a high-speed blender. Add fresh lemon juice, honey or sugar, ice cubes, and cold water if needed to help blending.
  3. Blend to Slushy Texture: Blend the mixture until smooth and slushy in texture. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Adjust Flavor: Taste the slush and adjust sweetness by adding more honey or sugar, or increase tartness with additional lemon juice if desired.
  5. Serve: Pour the slushies into glasses immediately to enjoy the best texture and chill. Garnish with fresh mint leaves if using for an aromatic touch.

Notes

  • Freeze watermelon at peak ripeness for a stronger, sweeter watermelon flavor.
  • Add more cold water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • For a more dessert-like slush, reduce the ice and use only fully frozen watermelon cubes.
